2. Cancellation and duration of assignment

A consumer client of Properta shall be entitled to cancel an assignment by notifying this cancellation within fourteen (14) days of the date on which Properta confirmed the assignment.

A client seeking to cancel an assignment shall notify Properta of this cancellation using the cancellation form downloadable here or otherwise in writing.

Working on the assignment shall commence only after expiry of the foregoing cancellation period unless the client asks Properta to begin working on the assignment at an earlier time by e-mail or in some other verifiable manner. If the client has asked Properta to begin working on the assignment, the client shall pay reasonable compensation to Properta for the work done up to the time of submitting the cancellation notice. The right of cancellation shall nevertheless no longer apply if Properta has already completed the assignment in full.

An assignment relationship shall end without special notice of termination when both the client and Properta have wholly discharged their obligations under the assignment.  The client shall also be entitled to terminate a Properta assignment with immediate effect at any time and without notifying any grounds for doing so.
